In 1914, ten years after the initial chapter was founded, the Zeta chapter was chartered right here in Lincoln, Nebraska. The founding members purpose in establishing the Zeta Chapter at the University of Nebraska was to further the individual welfare of its members, to foster scientific research in the fields of commerce, accounts and finance, to educate the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals therein, and to promote and advance in American institutions of learning courses leading to degrees in commercial science.
